Neighborhood Health Plan of Rhode Island is proud to announce that for the 15th consecutive year, we have been awarded the highest possible Medicaid accreditation by the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA), an accomplishment due in large part to our network of devoted providers and community partners.
The NCQA accreditation process involves a rigorous, comprehensive evaluation that analyzes the organization’s performance on measures such as preventive health services, quality improvement, member satisfaction, and physician credentialing. Neighborhood is one of only eight Medicaid managed care plans to receive a status of “Excellent,” placing us in the top 4% in the nation. The “Excellent” status is awarded to health plans that maintain high levels of quality throughout their systems and strive to constantly improve the health care of their members.
Neighborhood knows well that this accreditation could not have been possible without the critical partnerships we have with our providers who care so deeply about the health and well-being of our members. The accreditation is a reflection of the hard work not only of Neighborhood, but of all of our community partners, who work daily to make sure all Rhode Islanders have access to high-quality, affordable health care.
