Closing of Anchor Medical Associates – Neighborhood is aware that Anchor Medical Associates will be closing all of its practice locations as of June 30, 2025. We remain committed to ensuring our members have continued access to primary care services. If you are assisting a Neighborhood member who needs a new primary care physician, please direct them to our Member Services Call Center for assistance.

Behavioral Health – Effective for dates of service on or after September 1, 2025, Neighborhood Health Plan of Rhode Island (Neighborhood) will begin directly managing all behavioral health services for its members in all lines of business. Optum, the current behavioral health vendor, will continue supporting behavioral health services for all dates of service through August 31, 2025. For more information and FAQ’s, please click here.

Provider Screening Requirement – Make sure you complete and maintain Rhode Island Medicaid screening as mandated by the 21st Century Cures Act. It is the provider’s responsibility to ensure their individual and group NPI screening status does not expire, which could impact payment and/or participation status with Neighborhood. For instructions on how to maintain compliance, please refer to our screening and enrollment guidelines.

Provider Training Requirement – Neighborhood Health Plan of Rhode Island network providers are required to complete an annual training. The provider training offers an overview of Neighborhood’s plans, policies and procedures for providers. Click here to complete your provider training.
